History

2002 – Russia’s chief tour operating companies working with incoming tourists (Academservice, Intourist, NEVA, KMP and Express Line Travel) have created the “World Without Borders” Tourist Association;

2005 – the Association reached 50 members;

2007 – “World Without Borders” Tourism Association became an associated member of the UNWTO World Tourism Organization – a specialized body of the United Nations Organization widely acknowledged as the leading international tourism authority;

2008 – “World Without Borders” Tourism Association became an associated member of the Baltic sea commission on tourism, the Assosiation acts on behalf of the Russian businesses in the tourism sphere within the Joint Working Group on tourism of the Barents Euro-Arctic Council;

2008 – Memorandum on cooperation between the "World Without Borders" partnership and The Association of Finnish Travel Agents (AFTA) is signed;

2009 – first foreign representation office of “World Without Borders” Tourism Association was established;

2010 – the Association reached 100 members;

2011 – a Specialized informational system of implementation of the Agreement on visa-free group travels between the Government of the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China is developed;

2012 – a special insurance system for Russian and Chinese tourist groups traveling by the regulations of the visa-free travel Agreement was launched with the support of China’s leading insurance company ''China Life Insurance''; 

2012 – the Year of Russian tourism in China was officially announced, therefore the Chinese destination became a priority for the “World Without Borders” Tourist Association;

2013 – China remains the main line of work for the “World Without Borders” Tourist Association as the events of the Year of Chinese tourism in Russia take place.
