Russian exposition at Korea World Travel Fair enjoyed extreme popularity

The largest tourist exhibition in Southe Korea – Korea Korea World Travel Fair (KOTFA) – has run in Seoul for the 25-th time. It is an annual event supported be the Ministry for Culture, Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, World Tourism Organization UNWTO, and Korea Tourism Organization.

Russian joint national exhibition was presented at KOTFA for the fifth time already. It was organized by World Without Borders non-commercial partnership on behalf of the Russia Federal Agency for Tourism.

This year Russian booth attracted much interest of Korean officials, businessmen and other guests of the Fair. It was visited by the Minister for Culture, Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Korea Mr. Choe Kwang-shik and the Russian ambassador Mr. Konstantin Vnukov.

A presentation of Russian modern tourist products took place within the framework of the Fair. It was arranged as a mini-conference which gathered representatives of leading Korean travel companies, Russian diplomats and regional tourism officials.

Specially for the event maps of Russia and “Welcome to Russia” booklets in Korean were printed. These were souvenirs very much sought after, because Korean tourism professional traditionally suffer a lack of image materials about Russia in their native language.
